ATTENTION!

After a great 7-year run, this web site has moved to a site that was created with a clean sheet of paper -- as that offered an upgrade path to even more features for our members. All new posting to this site closes at 12:01AM 11/5/08. However, this site will remain up for reference until the end of the year. It is a simple process for members to copy their favorite posts from the old site to the new site.

You will find the new site at: www.MoparStyle.com

The new Forums are at: www.MoParStyle.com/forums

The new Free Classified Ads are at: www.MoparStyle.com/classifiedads

This entire domain along with it's applications licenses, art work, data, member roster, sponsors, etc. is available for purchase by a qualifying individual, group of individuals, club, or Mopar orientated business until the end of the year. If there is not reasonable interest at that time -- the site will be wiped from the Internet and the domain forwarded to the new site.

ATTENTION Nostalgia Super Stock Racers

Click here to head over to the new NSS-Monster forum. It made more since to host it on a Multi-Make forum (that included Ford and General Motors) than to keep it with a Mopar forum. Registration from this old forum did not transfer to the new forum -- and so members will need to take the three minutes to re-register at the new sites.

Be sure to bookmark the new sites.

Description: 1948 Dodge Custom 4 Dr Sedan, D24 w/suicide rear doors. This is NOT a barn find...but is a garage find. This car is originally a California Car with 85,000 original miles....NO RUST! The person we got the car from began to restore it, but never finished because of health reasons. The car still has very acceptable paint and with the right paint shop, flaws could be touched up. All Glass is intact but old and the passenger side front has a small crack in the corner where it looks as though it was hit with a BB or stone, but still intact.
The interior is still the stock and probably original material and could use some work but the rear seat, head liner and many panels are still nice...but old and aged. Front seat needs to be redone on the bottom but back is still nice and intact.
The dash is totally complete with everything it came with from the factory, including optional heater, radio, electric wipers and some other goodies. We just rebuilt the original clock and it keeps perfect time and installed a new sending unit in the gas tank so the fuel gauge works too. All door, trunk and glove box locks work and all windows work.
Flat Head 230 6 Cyl motor, " Fluid Drive " transmission. These were supposed to have been redone some years ago and have very few miles on them. We have just installed good used re-chromable bumpers front and rear. The only items missing are the 2 stainless pieces that run along the bottoms of the doors at the rocker panels. The car also has all 4 original "Dodge" Center moon caps and trim rings. We also have registration documentation as far back as 1963 and the original Owners Manual which will go with the sale. Car runs and shifts like a new car!
We've installed new front wheel bearings and installed a new 630 CCA Napa Commercial 6V Battery & New 55,000 mile Radials on all 4 corners...and one on the spare wheel!Car just recieved an oil/filter change and complete lubrication on every grease zerk and new rear differential and trans lube.
This Car is driven weekly as long as weather is decent. The car has been garaged for the last 45 years or more and we still keep it in the garage rain or shine. The car is registered through Febuary 2009.

This car would cost a minimal amount of $$ to finish....Body is in near perfect shape! NADA Classic Vehicle Prices show this car in average condition valued at $7,925 and in High Condition valued at $11,850. We've been told that the car is somewhere in between these values...figuring about $9,200. So if you buy this car at the price we have listed below, you will immediately have equity of about $3400! And each year the car goes up in value. Car is registered through Feb, 2009.

PRICE: $6900

May trade for 4X4 Vehicle, preferrably early GMC or Chevy, but let me know what you have. NO FORDS. We might consider a trade but don't bother writing to us about trading for a ford, boat, motorcycle....we will only Possibly trade for a early 30's to mid 50's GM Hot Rod or Stock or '67 - '72 GM or Chevy 4X4 3/4 ton.......but again, no fords. Trade must be of equal value or better.
