ATTENTION!

After a great 7-year run, this web site has moved to a site that was created with a clean sheet of paper -- as that offered an upgrade path to even more features for our members. All new posting to this site closes at 12:01AM 11/5/08. However, this site will remain up for reference until the end of the year. It is a simple process for members to copy their favorite posts from the old site to the new site.

You will find the new site at: www.MoparStyle.com

The new Forums are at: www.MoParStyle.com/forums

The new Free Classified Ads are at: www.MoparStyle.com/classifiedads

This entire domain along with it's applications licenses, art work, data, member roster, sponsors, etc. is available for purchase by a qualifying individual, group of individuals, club, or Mopar orientated business until the end of the year. If there is not reasonable interest at that time -- the site will be wiped from the Internet and the domain forwarded to the new site.

ATTENTION Nostalgia Super Stock Racers

Click here to head over to the new NSS-Monster forum. It made more since to host it on a Multi-Make forum (that included Ford and General Motors) than to keep it with a Mopar forum. Registration from this old forum did not transfer to the new forum -- and so members will need to take the three minutes to re-register at the new sites.

Be sure to bookmark the new sites.

Description: This 1969 Hemi Road Runner boasts a Numbers Matching 426 Hemi motor and a fresh rotessorie restoration that took 2 years to complete. There were a mere 421 Hemi Road Runners built in 1969, even fewer still retain their original 426 Hemi Engine. She wears a silver mink coat of factory shade A4, Platinum Metallic. Most Road Runners were ordered by their owners as stripped down low-buck affairs with very few of the options checked off of the dealer order sheet. This platinum blonde beauty is the exception to that rule.

Her Factory Options Include:
A32 - Super Performance Axle Package which also got you:
B41 - Front Disc Brakes
B51 - Power Brakes
D58 - 4.10:1 Ratio w/9.75" Dana 60 Axle
D91 - Sure Grip Differential
N51 - Maximum Cooling Package (less fan)
26" Max Cool Radiator
Power Steering Cooler
N65 - Torque Drive Fan Unit w/ 7 Blade, 18" Fan
S15 - HEMI Suspension w/Front Sway Bar
S25 - Firm Ride Shock Absorbers
C55 - Bucket Seats
O16 - Woodgrain Center Console
R22 - AM Radio with Stereo 8 Track Player
N96 - Air Grabber Hood
A mechanical inspection yeilded no significant problem areas, what you'd expect from a freshly nut and bolt restored vehicle that is taken out and driven, only when the weather is nice, to car shows. The cars all original body panels make for excellent panel alignment, doors opening easily and shutting with confident "click". All the exterior lights and signals work. As do all the interior accessories, yes even the clock! This is a low-original mile car so as much of the factory issue interior was retained, which is in remarkably good condition.

Car has the proper stance, sitting level. Even the prettiest of trailer queens tends to leak from her seals, but NOT THIS PRINCESS. Owner states that the are no seal, hose or gasket leaks.

She starts at the first hit of the key and drives out and shifts as nice as "Made in 1969" can. If anything she doesn't get driven enough, could use a good running out to clean up the plugs. Do I have any volunteers?

This fine example was visually inspected by Galen Govier in July of 2006, confirming that the VIN stamping on the motor, dash VIN, Radiator Body Code, and Fender Tag are all correct. He alse states that secondary body code is believed to be correct, but was not verified to avoid breaking the weatherstrip seal. The transmission is NOT orginal to the car, she was born an automatic and converted to a factory spec Hemi 4 speed during restoration. The original transmission is not available. The car was also entered into Galen's Registry and received a Fender Tag decode.

Call for copies of Galen Govier Fender Tag Decode, Galen's Auction Inspection, Galen's Registry Letter, as well as the owner conducted Vehicle Information Inspection, Paint Inspection, and Mechanical Walk-Around.
