This 1971 440 SIX PACK Cuda combines the most desirable options commonly sought after, 4spd, 4.10:1 Super TrackPack, AM/FM 3 Speaker Dash, Rim Blow Horn, TX9 Black, with superior condition and originality. The current owner bought the car as a complete, running, rust free car with the original drive train intact. He then had the car restored to factory specs to the state of the art standards.
This is an example of an investment quality Mopar. Mike Volz of Rocket Restorations conducted the independant vehicle inspection an confirm just how original and correct this car is.
This fresh restoration boasts all original body panels, and shows correct to her Original Fender Tag. All the body numbers and drivetrain casting/stamping numbers match correlate to the VIN located in the dash.
This rotessorie restored '71 440 SIX PACK Cuda began as a rust free car in very good condition and presents with all her actory correct paint dabs and markings. Not one bolt was left unturned.
Still wearing all of her factory issued body panels, panel it and finish is outstanding. Body lines are smooth and straight looking down each side of the car, no waves or ripples. The only notable paint flaw is a shrink line along the factory leaded seam on driver's side "C" pillar. All the glass is new re-dated concours quality. Bumpers, handles, and bright work were all redone, rechromed or polished as the finish dictated. Lower Rocker panel mouldings are NOS. The front grill is very good condition, with no cracks or repairs.
The engine was completely rebuilt and retains its standard bore as well as original crank and rods. Heads have all new hardware. The carbs are replacement units. Original radiator was recored, retaining its correct code. All outside components are dated coded correctly.
All chalk marks, paint dabs, etc. are present throughout the engine bay and underbody. Everything appears correctly, aside from the 15 x7 wheels are not the correct "450" type.
Interior inspection reveals a highly original interior, with only the carpet, headliner, and package tray being changed. Original dash is in excellent condition, with no cracks or repairs. The Rim Blow steering wheel was restored by Gary's Wheels out of Pennsylvania. The only item cited as not working is the interior dome light.
The mechanical inspection releaved no major mechanical issues. With only a few miles since restoration, that seems about right. Shifting action and manual steering feel the way it should. She drives out with all the strength and fury a 390hp SIX PACK 4spd Cuda should.
The summary comment Mike Volz made in his inspection report says it best: "This car is very stockand would show well on a national level."
NOTE: A Mechanical Walkaround, Paint Inspection Report, Vehicle Information Report discussing all the VIN, date, and casting codes are available upon request. http://www.showyourauto.com/am/listings/l0168.html
